Congratulations Donna!
Donna won this morning's blog contest by being the first (and only) person to correctly guess that the phrase "go on, go on, go on" is from the Britcom Father Ted and uttered by the Fathers' nutty housekeeper, Mrs.Doyle.
"Have another cup of tea. Go on, go on, go on!"
I love the Britcoms and Father Ted is one of my favorites. At first, I thought it was the strangest thing I ever saw, but I grew to love it. The episode, Song for Europe has one of the funniest "videos" ever, My Lovely Horse.
I have plenty of knitting and crocheting stash and I would like to give it away, so more contests coming soon.
I never would have guessed it (though if you threw in something from Keeping Up Appearances I might have a shot!). Yay Donna!

Thank you, Vera! I love Britcoms, too.

Came by via Donna's blog - your mittens are just great, and I LOVE the colors you chose for the Market Bag Knitalong! I have been trying, desperately, not to join up, but the bag looks so neat... hopefully I won't have that magazine issue so I won't be tempted further. Can't wait to see how yours turns out!

I knew I should read your blog more often! I've been watching "Father Ted" since the mid-90's -- good friends of ours in Ireland used to send us tapes of the show.

Father Ted is fabulous. I have unfortunately not seen many episodes -- but I have one season's worth of dvd's, and I love them. And I bet they're even funnier if one has a Catholic background...
