Feeling the Love--Again
Some years ago, I went through a crocheted potholder phase around the time I learned to knit again. I will expand upon this in a future post, but one of the surprising things that knitting has done for me is that it has improved my crocheting.
I'm having so much fun working on the potholders for the swap and for presents.
Here's another Cupcake Potholder for another gift. I'm hoping the recipient can figure out who she is by the colors. Let's see how sharp she is...
I also love these Geometric Potholders. I plan to make at least a couple more. It's so nice to play with color.
As much fun as I'm having with the potholders, I need to drop my hook for a spell and pick up my sticks and get Patrick's He Said She Said set done in time to gift for Valentine's Day. I meant to have it done by now, but got distracted.
Start of the Madness (or The Beginning of the Enz)
I prattle on so much about my Neil Finn/Crowded House obsession that you may wonder where it all started. When I first heard I Got You by the Split Enz, from a compilation tape, I had to drop everything and get to a record store right away get their album.
It's one of those perfect pop songs, full of melody and hooks, but with a dollop of the sinister.
I can never get tired of this song; I can even forgive the blokes for the eye shadow.
