I <3 de Tour in the Summertime
I started watching the Tour de France in to get me through the summer before football season. At first, I didn't know anything about the or the riders or the history or even, professional cycling.
Over the years, my knowledge and respect grew for the event, and although I still have a long way to go, I can discuss the event and the sport reasonably well.
(Sun) Flower Power
Even if you couldn't care less about the Tour and cycling, the scenery is to die for. Aren't these sunflower fields breathtaking?
Breathe and smile.
I love sunflowers right down to my bathroom.
So naturally, when I saw this shawl, I have to knit one for the Tour.
Now, off to stress about the yarn.
Be Linen
Since I'm feeling French today, I'd like to share this lovely movie about the production of linen. I'm always moved by the stories of process and people who love and respect what they do.

I could never do well in the Tour de France because I'd have to stop and take in that amazing sunflower view!
I clicked over from Angie's today, enjoyed browsing :)

I haven't watched the TdF in years buth the sunflowers are goreous.
I saw this video a while back.I thought I'd be bored watching it but it was very interesting. There's more to processing linen than I ever thought there would be.

MTM watches the Tour online every year. He even owns a custom racing bike. I have no earthly idea why.
I love the sunflower shawl. That will be gorgeous when you're through.
