Dear Diary--January 24, 2010
Earlier this month, I mentioned a possible hat intervention, but still kept knitting hats.
Then, the other day, I received the following message on Twitter...
@vhanna26 Have your neighbors started calling you "The Crazy Hat Lady" yet?
Zoinks! Thanks Mike--I think it will make a great post title.
Starburst Hat
I knitted this for the Woolly Wormhead's January KAL on Ravely. I've hast the Starburst Hat pattern for awhile, and why not knit it now?
Great pattern , as usual, from Ruth. I used a couple of skeins of Queensland Rustic Wool in a shade I don't normally go for, but it worked really well with the pattern.
Chevy Hat
During this latest hat spell, I've only crocheted one hat. When I saw this chic little hat, I had to make her, and I've had some Wisdom Poems in deep stash that I thought may work.
How cute and quick (only an evening) is this hat!?!-- although it is tight on me, but a good blocking will make things better.
For the next hat, I'll go up another hook size.
Yes, I know I should go a gauge swatch, but generally, I normally will do one only for large items. It's fairly easy to know in a hat if you are off, and just start over.
It's a neat pattern that needs more crocheters to make it.
Irish Red
Even though in in the ending throes of my hatstyeria, I managed to finish an Irish Hiking Scarf that I started in November 2008
Another object done! In fact, I'm going to spend the 19 days before the Ravelympics on nothing but finishing up UFOs.
...and perhaps another hat or two.

Oh well, knitting hats is your thing. Just like knitting lace is mine. I'm trying so hard to work on something else. LOL! Currently have a project on the needles that involves NO lace. Gonna try and keep it that way!
