Afghan in Progress...
The time has moved up and spring and sprung in the South Carolina Lowcountry. The weather is in that perfect state before the heat and hurricanes. Loving it!
I've been distracted (Tweeting, Plurking,Facebooking, itouching, The Watchmen movie, etc) but managed to complete six of the nine afghan squares.
Oh the colors! Can't wait to start the borders although I really should weave in those pesky ends. By the way, each square is about 18".
Here's the seventh square in progress.
BTW, This yarn, for all its beauty, still bites.
On Resistance v Impatience
I suppose I could have waited to finish this square and I could have titled this post "Seven of Nine" and thrown in some "resistance is futile" like aphorism, but I know it's better to blog when the spirit moves me rather than wait.
Go Go Granny!

You can't leave us hanging like that? Why does the yarn bite?

You are so right! That afghan is totally gonna rock. When I saw the first photos of the squares, I wondered why one would make an afghan with sock yarn; but it is coming out amazing!! Hmmm...I have some sock yarn trapped in some socks that are going nowhere, and I do love granny squares...

This afghan is going to be so very awesome!! I am wondering what will the finished dimensions be? The squares are big, but it's sock yarn... And, oh yes, please tell us why the yarn bites!
