It's Hat Season!
As soon as the temperatures drop, I'm ready to knit and crochet hats.
Here's the first one.
I started this hat with some Reynolds Soft Sea Wool which is nice yarn, but it looked too small. The Freedom Spirit is thicker than the pattern calls for, but I thought the colors would work well, and I needed a thicker yarn.
The pattern was easy to memorize and follow, although one does need to pay attention to the decrease rows, but it's not a problem. While I like the look of the yarn, it does break off easily and is hard to tink back.
Knitting Outside the Lines
Last week, I purchased Mason-Dixon Knitting: Outside the Lines. The book has a lot of nice projects. I decided to get my feet wet with a dishcloth.
It's nice just to knit a cute dishcloth sometimes.
In addition to blogging, tweeting, and ravelring, I'm also plurking. Follow me.
