I started on this shawl for the Ravelympics as I watched the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympic games last night. It was so beautiful, and I love watching the Parade of Nations.
Oh, I'm using Dream in Color Baby in Funky Fuschia.
Since I've been watching Project Runway, I felt compelled to Twitter the best dressed nations, and though it's going to sound like I'm just a homer, I loved the USA's outfits the best. They were totally sharp, and everyone looked good in them.
Where I've Been
Since I've been away from blogging. It's not that I've been awy from the computer either. I'm on Twitter, Facebook, Ravelry, and even Plurk.
For the most part, I've been knitting socks for The Summer of Socks. It's hot, and I've knitted two whole pairs, almost done with another pair, and have two orphans.
I've also been reading this summer. I've read David Sedaris's new book, and I'm almost finished with Stefan Fatsis's A Few Seconds of Panic about his traning camp experiences with the Denver Broncos. It's a great read for anyone who loves pro football and wants to know what traning camp is really like.
I'm also listening to Charlatan on Radio Reader during my morning commute. It's engrossing, and I think that we haven't changed much as humans--those who con and are conned, only the delivery method is different.
Still, blogging is never far from my thoughts. I just wish it could spring out of my brain--prompt and picture perfect.
For tomorrow, my Parade of Socks.
