Hello New Look!
For July, HK continues her romp through fashion with Dior.
SOS is Here
This year, I my sock knitting got off to a slow start, but after finishing up a few sock UFO's I'm ready for the Summer of Socks. The KAL started June 21st, and while there are people on their 4th pair, I'm merrily plodding along.
Here are the Orange Crush Thujas I finished on June 21st. While they don't officially count for SOS, they got me in the mood.
For SOS, I started a pairof Simple Pleasure socks with some Socks That Rock Hot Flash in medium weight. I like how this pattern works with this bright, crazy yarn.
Since I can't seem to stay focused on one pair of socks at a time, I went retro, and started a Broadripple sock with some Cascade Fixation I got a while back. I started Sunday, and I'm nearly done with the gusset.
This is my third pair of Broadripples. I made two pairs in 2004 when I was new to sock knitting here and here. I love this pattern because it's easy, looks good, works up quickly, and compatible with lots of different sock yarns.
I think my next socks will be a plain sock in a self striping yarn and the new internet hotness, Spring Forward.
I will try to refrain from starting a new sock until I have finished at least one of my currents.
