I got my Fantasy Football prize from Cathi a little while back. I won it for having the worst quarterback of the week.
In addition to the cute HK items, I got a skein of STR G-Rocks and a skein of Sock Pixie yarn in Eggplant. It's totally beautiful.
Thanks so much Cathi. Even though I lost, I won nicely.
Pat and I went to his mother's for the day. We had a day time filled with wonderful food. I watched the Green Bay/ Detroit game and continued to work on my spiral hats.
Here's one in progress for a niece--still using Berroco Comfort. This is color # 9808 Galaxy Mix.
I made one for myself in Artyarns Super Merino #138.
I love the purples and black, but, alas, it's a little too large, so, I'll frog this one and take it down a size.
...but I'll call it Julie
Isn't it pretty! Miss Babs calls it Purples, but I'm renaming it Julie since purple is her favorite color. It will need a worthy pattern indeed.
Black Friday Shopping
On our way back from Myrtle Beach, we did do a bit a Black Friday shopping. I found some nice things for Pat's family and a Secret Santa gift.
I've never worked with Lopi before, but I heard that it felts very well, and I think it will be just the thing for that bag.
I'll probably put one or more of these crocheted flowers on the bag.
I got another skein of Wollmeise Friday, and another test skein, so I had enough to crochet a couple of flowers. I so love how the Wollemise works with these flowers that I want to order all of the test skeins, but she is out at the moment.
Boot Camp Beret
Still in the throes of hat fever, I started on another hat.
It's the Purl Beret. I'm using Claudia's Handpainted sock yarn in the the Boot Camp colorway. I love berets, and I'll work on this or something else while watching lots of football today.
Oh, I think I'm finally ready for some Chinese food too.
