Patrick's Cobblestone Pullover
After 13 years, Patrick get a handknitted sweater. Hopefully, there's no husband sweater curse.
It needs some blocking, and I need to undo the bind off and go to a sewn bind off to make the neck opening a bit more comfortable, but Pat's very pleased with it.
Posing with the messenger bag was his idea.
Pattern: Cobblestone Pullover by Jared Flood
Source: Interweave Knits, Fall 2007
Yarn: Berroco Ultra Alpaca, color 6293--7.25 skeins
Needles: Size 7 dpns, 32" cable, and 16"cable
Started: September 4, 2007
Finished: September 30, 2007
I throughly enjoyed making this sweater, and stayed on focused on knitting it. The pattern is well written, and there's no seaming--okay, some kitchering, but it's a wonderful pattern.
Pat already wants another.
Posing with the yarn was my idea. This was the color I wanted to use first, but I couldn't find enough skeins of the yarn at my LYS when I first saw it, so I brought the brown yarn. Then, there was enough yarn the next time I went, and I was going to use it for this. Then he saw the yarn, and decided he wanted another Cobblestone in that yarn even before I finished the first one.
Jonesing for Socks
However, I haven't worked on any socks for over three weeks. Socktoberfest is here, and I'm jonseing to get a pair on the needles.
