Little to Show for It
I have been knitting and crocheting for the last couple of weeks, but I don't have much to show for it. Last week, I got the yarn for the Lime Pullover from Tahki/Stacy Charles Spring 2006 Crochet.
I'm using Brown Sheep's Cotton Fleece in Coral. I adore the color.
Problem is I can't get gauge!!! I switched needles several times, but I still can't get row gauge. Luckily, row gauge isn't terribly important as long as a match the schematics, so that's what I'll do.
I'm also working on a bolero for my LYS.
It's from the Cleckheaton Book 936. The yarn is bulky, and it uses a 10mm (N or P) hook, so I though it would be a fast crochet.
It was very fast except that I didn't check gauge. I ran out of yarn, and it came out way too large, so I took the whole bolero apart (I had ran out of yarn while working the crab stitch edging), and started again. I'm redoing the piece in size small instead of large.
So far, I have both fronts redone. They'll look better once I weave the ends and block.
I'll need to redo the back, and I'll have plenty of yarn to do the edging.

Here's what I have so far.
Of course, I had some drama with the scarf. I started it out with Crystal Place Kid Merino. While I liked the look, I hated how the mohair would clump around the nylon string, so I decided to punt it.
I'm using Knit Picks's Shadow in Oregon Coast. I did have to tink back several rows to correct an error, and ended up making another error while correcting the first error, but it's small, and I can live with it.
I'm ready to start my fifth (out of 14) body repeat, and I'm feeling comfortable with the pattern. I've been getting a lot out of Eunny's excellent lace knitting tutorial. Do check it out.
Bonkers for Beanies
My Beanimaina continues. Last week, I received some from Susan.
This is great. Thanks so much!
Here's I couple more I picked up too.
Patrick really needs to make me some shelves!
