Missed Out
I was busy knitting and crocheting bags last month, but I have been eyeing all of the beautiful socks during last month's Socktoberfest.
It's normally much too hot in Charleston for socks in October, but now that November's here, and we've been hit with some cooler temperatures (it's 36 degrees right now), I want to make more socks.
Here are the finished "Get Along Socks". They look like booties, but they fit like socks.
Crocheting the cuffs really makes the sock work up fast.
and the first Jaywalker Sock.
I had the rose Koigu for around for a while. I just loved the color. When I saw the Get Along Sock, I knew it would be perfect for it, and brought two balls of the varigated Koigu, but I have plently left over, so I thought the yarn would do well for the Jaywalker sock.
I've been knitting for over two years now, but I'm still skittish about color changes, so this marks my first totally knitted sock that I changed colors for the top of the cuff, heel, and toe.
I 'm very pleased with how this sock turned out, and I really like how the Koigu works with the pattern stitch.
I've started the second sock, and I'll work on it for awhile before getting back to the Horse Around Purse.
Embrace Your "Inner Granny"
Check out this post. Kudos to you Regina! Most of you know how I feel about the subject. In case you don't, here's one rant and another one.
I'm totally with Regina on stopping the "Global Granny Slander" and embracing my "Inner Granny."
I'm Solid Orange!
Tomorrow is the big (at least in South Carolina) Clemson vs. South Carolina game. Most of my co-workers are Carolina fans, so I have to represent the Tigers.
Go Tigers! Beat Carolina! Fight! Win! Fight!

Great looking socks. I will have to try that pattern next. War Eagle!
