The MSB is Done!!!
I put on the handles earlier this week. I've taken it with me everywhere.
I really love this bag. It's a nice size and sturdy. Thanks for all of the compliments. Sara (who had the first MSB I saw and thought I could never do) saw my bag last night and liked it, and that meant a lot to me.
Of course, it's still not too late to join the Market Squares BAL! We're are having a lot of fun and have been fortunate to have Linda Cyr, the designer of the bag, drop in on us to show us her personal MSB and anwer questions.
While I love making socks, and need to make a pair soon, I really wanted to make something different with all the sock yarn I have.
Here's my version of the of the Sideways Hat that I knitted from Not Just Socks.
I used Fortissma sock yarn. I really liked how this turned out.
While it looks floppy on the bald wig head, it fits my bigger noggin perfectly. I'm sure Patrick will want to wear it too. I may tackle some gloves from the book some day.
I received my electronic row counter yesterday, and it helped me keep up with the rows on the hat. A neat little gadget.
Things to Do
I'm still crocheting the baby ripple afghan that I need to finish soon. I also brought some yarn--Tahki Donegal Tweed, for the SoHo Sling bag from Bags: A Knitter's Dozen. The bag looks easy, but I've never put a zipper in anything before.
I plan to make another Market Squares Bag next month, and I have crocheting lessons to teach at my LYS tomorrow afternoon.
Oh, I still need to weave in the ends for my ruffled scarf and a hat I crocheted a couple of weeks ago.
I'm almost done with Poster Boy too.
Note to Rogue:
I haven't forgotten about you:-) I know you feel that I have.
