I Feel Like Such a Spaz Knitter
I'm not sure what it is.
Maybe it's just the heat and the season or something else, but I'm having trouble finishing projects.
Here's a partial list of WIPs
1. Flower Poncho--I've done the first six rows and I can't seem to finish
2. Entrelac Wrap--The wrap is coming along okay, but I'm off gauge and need to go to a larger needle.
3. Cloverleaf Socks--I made one, and I started the cuff on the other
4. Charlotte Shawl--Got to row 90 with no problems at all. Just need to complete.
I have little trouble actually starting projects. I just seems that I see so much and my head spins this way and that and I spaz out and abandon things and start new projects.
By nature, I'm hard on myself. I'm actually much better at finishing projects since I started joining web groups and blogging. I used to start on something and not crochet for a couple of years at a stretch. I guess my blogging and reading other blogs just makes me more aware of my WIPs.
I'll finish what I have when I'm ready.
What I am Doing
I have been knitting though, Here's a photo of my Fiber Trends Basic Tank.
At the time of the photo, I had the back finished, and I was working on the front. I have the front on top of the back to ensure that the arm opening match up . I'm using the Cotton Twist by Berroco. I think that I can block out the roll once I crochet the edge on the bottom. I have done it with Tunsian Crochet which rolls up as well.
Patrick said that the stitch holders look like rollers. Right now, I'm just finishing up the back, so I can work on assembly with a little help from some friends. I want to be certain to sew up the sides correctly.
Secret Pal II is On!
I got the name and address of my secret pal from Heidi, who is doing a great job organizing this exchange.
The only thing I will say about my new pal is that she has a blog and that I had never visited it before yesterday.
Time to Take on the Day
I'll finish up the tank and go to the yarn shop for help. I want to buy the yarn for the Gigi sweater.
Today or tomorrow, Patrick and I will catch the new M. Night Shyamalan movie, The Village. The reviews on this one have been very mixed although I've liked his other movies.
